So here, for true excitement value, is my list of mouse / mice related stuff:
Jumpy Red Mouse
A birthday present from some ex-friends of mine, this little red plastic mouse does somersaults and carries a big block of cheese in his hands. For more information (and a picture!), see my Toys page. |
Rat
Okay, so over the course of my time at University it got officially re-classified as a Rat, and not a Mouse, but he did start off life as one, so he kinda counts. He's about hand-sized, made out of some kind of brown felt and has a long string tail (which people used to tie him to things, and to generally spin him around in circles). Was made by a forgotten (sorry!) relative of mine. (Also can be found on my Toys page) |
Cheese Dish
Yes, that's right I have a cheese dish in the shape of... well... a big piece of cheese! And lazing on the top of it is a little white mouse with big pink ears and big eyelashes. Cool. One of my various interesting presents from my very interesting sister, Theresa. |
Salt & Pepper Pots
Two little brown mice, dressed is matching white-and-red stripey shirts and blue dungarees (with their tails poking out the backs). Accused of being too cutesy by a friend of mine, they have pride of place on my kitchen surface thing. They were Christmas presents from my ickle brother, Alexander. |
Mug
A normal mug, but with a cool design around the outside, showing a block of cheese with lots of cartoon brown mice poking their heads out the holes. Quotes on the mug include "Dropping this mug would be a Cat-astrophy", "Holy Cheese!" and "A mouse without cheese is like a kiss without a squeeze!" (ahh, how true). Theresa is to blame for this too. |
Stickers
A whole collection of little dark-blue and shiny-golden stickers (each about 1cm high), depicting big-eared cartoon mice running all over the place. I'm currently sticking them over most my pieces of electrical equipment (TV, computer, monitor, video, CD player, ...), to stylize my property. Err... I bought these, myself. |
Chris Mouse
A brooch (about 1" in size) depicting a brown mouse pearing through a keyhole. Yet another present from Theresa. |
Mouse Pad
No, no - this really is mouse-related. I bought a new mouse-pad when I got my new computer, and it is very much like the background to this page (in fact, I based the graphic design on it), but with a grey, pink-eared, long-nosed mouse peering out the large central hole in the cheese. Sad, yeah, I know. |
China Teapot Mice
A set of four china figurines, each about an inch and half high, depicting cute mice sitting inside teapots. A Christmas presents from my parents, they took me ages to try and name. Current offerings: Milly (is sitting inside an orange tea-pot), Harry (his teapot if tall and thin), Trixy (has the teapot lid balaned on her bottom) and Chub (brushing his teapot lid back off his head). |
Shaking Mouse Keyring
Well, what-do-you-know, another mouse-present from Theresa. This time a three-inch long brown-and-grey striped mouse on a key-ring. Pull his tail and he shakes and runs around in circles. |
Fridge Magnets
A brithday present from Theresa, stuck to my fridge at the moment are the three pieces of cheese, as well as a rat-looking mouse eyeing them from the bottom corner. |
Magnetic Mouse
One of three 'magnetic animals' I purchased some time ago for presents (including a monkey that got given to an office colleague, and a donkey that got given to Theresa), the mouse has magnetic hands, feet, and a head. It's currently attached to my metal display stand. |
Also (when I get around to it), I'll add any cute mousey pictures I've got here (probably scaled down and reduced to 256 colours or some'in', but I've only a limited amount of web-space you know!).
Also also, I'll include links to anything mousey:
