Theory
Having seen some interesting computational artwork lately (especially used as people's wallpapers on the computers), I thought I'd just quickly see what I could bang out where the artwork was basically generated by the theory of graphitational forces on particles. It only took an evening, but the final results looked quite nice, I thought.
Features
(Gravity is written for Win9X/NT/2000)
The process of creating a wallpaper with the utility is relatively simple:
One Final option is the Not Light option. With this unselected, the particles will act more like light trails, whilst with it clicked on you will end up with a ball of string effect, as demonstrated below:
"Not Light" switched off (default)

Gravity Executable (39.9Kb Zip File)
This should be all you need to run the utility.
Also, find below two exports from the utility that I've performed further repalettisation of to alter into (what I think) are nicer wallpapers:
Pink Arc![]() (1280 x 1024) |
Rose![]() (1280 x 1024) |
If you've downloaded Gravity and had problems with it, email me at the address shown below and I'll try and have a look into what's going wrong.
